About Me

I’m Parnika Shankar, an undergraduate student at Rice University, and I am passionate about helping young adults who are experiencing burnout early on. As the founder, I strongly believe that everyone has a valuable voice. I am dedicated to providing as many resources to help everyone rise above their limits.

Aside from podcasting, I enjoy academics with a particular interest in biomedical sciences and business. I tremendously enjoy working with children and plan to pursue a career that will involve kids. I have been teaching young kids at the Kumon Institute of Education center since 2021. I spend my time also volunteering at UC Health Memorial Hospitals in labor/delivery and mom/baby departments, as well as Children’s Hospital Colorado.

To balance out my academic schedule, I continue to follow my passion for music. I have been a choir singer for more than eight years. I had started with Carnatic music (Indian classical) before western choral.

In addition to performing at Colorado All State choir, I performed at the National American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) in Cincinnati, OH, in February 2023. Most recently, I performed in London which was an amazing experience!

I have also always had a love for fashion, and strongly believe that presenting yourself is a reflection of who you are. I have had the opportunity to work at Express and was one of the most preferred stylists for clients.

I love traveling as well, and San Diego and Las Vegas are my go-to vacation spots. I am a highly driven young adult with a pursuit for excellence, and I hope to build this community to empower one another.
