Gautham Viswaroopan, Aerospace Engineer and Graduate Researcher at UCLA

Gautham Viswaroopan has been at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of aerospace engineering and space research for future generations. From the heart of innovation at the University of California, Los Angeles, he has been always challenging himself in studying aerospace engineering for years prior. Having a passion for space research since he was a child, he’s also been involved in several organizations and projects since high school; including his work with Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, SpaceX, and NASA.

The passion he has for aerospace engineering has also carried over in his commitment to Students for the Exploration and Development of Space–the largest student-led STEM organization in the world– in his role managing 5000+ members in 32 countries. He has also received several honors, awards, and patents for his work. On this podcast episode, he further expands on resources available within reach, many of which he has utilized since high school, including NASA’s Ames and Space Grant Consortium, and REAP.
